How to fix it

Display Hidden files and folders
Windows 10
- On your Desktop or System dish, click the folder icon to open folder Explorer.
- Click the vision tab and select unknown Items.
Windows 8.1/ 8
- On your keyboard compress Windows+E to open File Explorer.

Windows 7/ Vista
- Right-click the Windows Logo and select unlock Windows Explorer.

Search for files in Windows
Windows 10, 8.1, 8 or 7
- On your keyboard, press Windows+F.

- If you only know the file extension, substitute an asterisk for the file name and include the extension. For example, enter .qbw to search for QuickBooks data files or doc to search for Microsoft Word documents.

- Click Search.
- Your search results will display in the bottom section of the window. To determine the directory pathway of a specific file, right-click the file and select Properties.
Solution 1: Delete the contents of the entitlement users folder
- Find the way in the left window to C:\Program Data\QuickBooks\Entitlement Client\v8.
- Press the CTRL + A keys to select all the files in the folder and then compress Delete.
- Click yes to confirm the act.
- Relaunch QuickBooks Point of Sale for Desktop and re-register the application. If the error persists, try solution 2.

Solution 2: Rename the WSActivity file
- Go to: C:\Program Data\QuickBooks\QuickBooks Point of Sale XX\Ini
- Right-click WSActivity and choose Rename.
- Go through OLDWSActivity and click anywhere to save.
- Close the window then follow Solution 1 again.
- Prelaunch QuickBooks Point of Sale for Desktop.
Solution 3: Execute a clean re-install for Point of Sale
